We welcome back all the members who have returned from their travels and look forward to seeing you in the Club.

It was disappointing that because of the weather, we had to cancel the car show, it would have been a wonderful day. We have a few events coming up and they are mentioned in this newsletter. The next function will be the Melbourne Cup Luncheon.  Please support the club and come for the big day, it is always fabulous.   Don’t forget your hat!!     -   As with all functions bookings and prepayment essential.

The Hungarian Gypsy Night was a great success – it was a fantastic concert performed by these international performers and enjoyed by all those present. 

Things have been quiet everywhere, and not just in the hospitality industry, business has been slow, but with your support we can continue to progress and achieve our goals. Check out our new look website - it looks great.

As you know our financial year goes from 1st January to 31st December with memberships falling due on the 31/12/10. Please remember to renew your membership for the 2011 year.

Another season comes to an end, and what a successful season it has been.

In our second year of 1^st Division senior football, our 1^st senior team did us proud by winning the Premiership, Grand Final and promotion into the Premier League next year.  Our Reserve team also won the Premiership and runners up in the Grand Final.  Fantastic results and CONGRATULATIONS, to the coaches, managers, players and to all the supporters, thank you all for a great season.

We also had great results with our juniors, fielding 10 teams, including 3 girls teams.  We congratulate, the under11s girls(2), colts 1^st div, 15s 2^nd div, 14s 1^st div, 13s 1^st div, all making the finals, with the under 14s being Premiers for their division, another hardy thank you ,to the coaches, managers, players and parents.

Now for the future of our club, the ROOBALLERS, well wow wee, have we got some talent out there?  Even though they’re not playing for points you can see from this young age they do play for keeps and some of our teams are future champions, the development of these young players is vital for the future of our club and what a great job our rooball coaches are doing with these young players, thanks to the managers players and the parents.

We hope that everyone has enjoyed the season and so we expect to see you all next year.  Remember SIGN ON will be on January 29^th and 30^th 2011.

A successful club like ours, runs on volunteers, if you are able to help out in any capacity next year please contact our Secretary Antoinette or I, your offer will be greatly appreciated.

I would like to personally thank Antoinette Du Preez, Kathryn and Blair Littlejohn, Lena and Troy Morrow , Peter Britten, Brendan Du Preez , Don Majdandzic , Karen and James Bengino and all the volunteers who helped out during the season.

BOCCE (Bowls)

On the 2^nd October, 2010 our Club held a Bocce Competition.  In the mixed teams, first prize was won by Silvana Velardo and Peter Ulliana while second prize was won by Romano Segon and Crispina Benvenga.

The competition was followed by a delicious BBQ with everyone having an enjoyable time.  Our Bocce members are invited to our annual Christmas Lunch at the Club on the 15^th December. Please advise Natalina if you will be able to attend.

Bocce is played on Wednesday mornings from 9am and Sunday afternoons from 1pm. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. For any further information please phone Natalina on 5572 1843.
